Vegan Mediterranean Mezze Bowl Recipe

The best way to make any salad bowl enjoyable is heavily influenced by the types of sauces you pair with it. One of my favorite go-to, savory recipes is the Mediterranean Mezze Bowl Recipe. This recipe contains 3 different flavors of creamy, rich and juicy all in one bite! These ingredients are sure to take your tastebuds on an adventure. We are going to veganize the Mediterranean experience with hummus, vegan tzatziki, and some roasted veggies.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do and incorporate this to your next appetizers menu.

Alternative ways to make this recipe:

You can add additional toppings like herbed tahini sauce or pickled onions on my other recipes!! I love to diversify my bowl with all of the sauce, add extra veggies, and dip it with naan bread. You can also make wraps with the same recipe and add vegan falafels to your customizable Mezza plate.

Mezze Bowl

Mezze is an easy vegan dish to make because it mostly uses raw ingredients. Except for the yogurt in tzatziki sauce, you can substitute the yogurt for a vegan alternative.

How many servings does this make?

You can make approximately 4 servings. This is a generous serving for sharing or to savour the sauces in the fridge for up to a week.

Instructions
  1. Make the roasted tomatoes: Preheat your oven to 400F. Place tomatoes in a baking dish or lipped pan with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and salt. Toss to coat. Bake tomatoes for 10-12 mins, or until the tomato skins start to pop, blister, and char slightly.
  2. Make the tzatziki: In a small bowl combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic and salt. Set aside.
  3. Assemble bowls: Adding a little bit of everything to individual bowls and serve with pita or naan on the side. Or, add everything onto a table and let everyone build their own mezze bowl to their liking. This makes a great snack or easy lunch.
