What is tea without some biscuits? As some British might say. The perfect tea-time is paired with snacks that are sweet, simple, and lingers in your memories. Fortunately, this Vegan Custard Toast recipe might just be the perfect dessert that will trick your guests into thinking that you went to the local bakery next door. I have always enjoyed the creamy textures with a crispy bite of pastries with my morning coffee and tea. It really makes me feel like a queen in her palace, ready to tackle on the day. Luckily you can feel like a queen too with this soft and creamy Vegan Custard Toast recipe.

Custard can be made vegan, and let me show you how. All you need is a slice of toast, your favorite sweet fruits, vegan eggs, oat yogurt, and some sweeteners to do the trick.

Alternative ways to make this recipe:

You can use store-bought or homemade vegan egg alternatives for this recipe. The toppings are customizable to your favorite choice of fruits. I recommend raspberries and blueberries to add that natural sweetness and juiciness. Plus you can make several toats with various toppings to achieve a beautiful color when cooking with custard.

Custard Toast

A little birdy, also known to be modern-day Tiktok, told me that tea parties are making a come-back! Before Tiktok made it famous, custard toast originated in Asian Bakeries and had become a big hit in Taiwanese bubble tea cafes. They are normally made with a thick slice of bread covered in sweet custard and can be made extra fancy with fruits and additional toppings like ice cream and sauce. You can never go wrong with bread because Custard Toast is one of the greatest inventions of all dessert times. This recipe is a fusion between Asian Bakery meets Western Breakfast with a sprinkle of vegan touch. I hope you can make your breakfast more diverse and delightful!

How many servings does this make?

This recipe makes 4 slices of toast. You can cut it into smaller pieces to share or enjoy a slice of two for yourself.
