2- Ingredient Balsamic Glaze Recipe

2 Ingredient Balsamic Glaze Recipe

What are some of the staple sauces you have in your pantries that you cannot live without? For me, the balsamic glaze is one of the most diverse condiments you can use for any dish. If you want to level up your sauce game and don’t want to spend more money on sauces you can make at home, you are at the right place. All you need for this recipe are just 2 simple ingredients, balsamic vinegar and any vegan sweetener of your choice. This beautiful yet rich-tasting balsamic sauce is an elegant touch to favorite meals or salads and caters to those who have dietary restrictions (vegans) or allergies.

Alternative ways to make this recipe:

You can use any of your favorite sweeteners. Coconut sugar, agave and maple syrup are all great alternatives to this simple recipe.

Balsamic Glaze (Reduction)

You might be thinking, what is the difference between a balsamic glaze and a balsamic reduction? Essentially they are the same thing, it is the process of thickening your balsamic vinegar by using sugar (or any sweetners) and evaporating all the liquid from the vinegar using high heat. Balsamic Reduction is often recognized as a higher quality version of balsamic vinegar and it is often gluten free, vegan and paleo-friendly. Depending on your preference for sweetness, you can control the acidity and sweetness levels of your glaze by adding more sugar.

After finalizing your flavor, you can contain your balsamic reduction in a squeeze bottle for up to 3 months in the refrigerator. This way you can use for easy drizzling over sandwiches, salads or veggies!

How many servings does this make?

This recipe makes approximately 1/4 cup, but you are welcome to double or even triple the recipe to keep enough on hand to keep up with your need for balsamic.
