Vegan Kewpie Mayo

Vegan Kewpie Mayo RecipeI’m going to show you how to make a vegan Kewpie mayo in under 10 mins! This vegan mayo is inspired by Japanese kewpie mayonnaise. Regular mayonnaise is buttery, tangy and salty while Kewpie mayo is rich, slightly sweet and savoury in comparison.

This easy-to-make sauce has complex flavours and is a great addition to recipes, including recipes that use Kewpie. You can use this recipe in place of Kewpie mayonnaise in tons of recipes, from sushi to sandwiches and salads.

You can make vegan mayonnaise from scratch and then follow the rest of the recipe to make kewpie mayo but using store-bought vegan mayo is the quickest way to make this in 5 mins.

You’re going to love making this easy vegan kewpie mayo! Kewpie mayonnaise really stands out compared to traditional American mayo and takes plain vegan mayo to the next level.

Traditionally, Kewpie uses egg yolk instead of whole eggs and has been popular in Japan since 1925. The main ingredients of KEWPIE Mayonnaise are oil, egg yolks, seasoned rice vinegar and MSG.

So now I’m going to show you how to make it vegan! All you need to do to make kewpie vegan is simmer rice vinegar to make a reduction, then mix with your favourite vegan mayo and the other ingredients mentioned below and whisk until smooth.

Super easy and I love the taste! I would love to make a big batch of this but was wondering how long it usually keeps in the fridge?
