Butter Glaze
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine the Bisquick with ¼ cup cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a fork. Do not over mix, you want to ensure there are small chunks of butter about the size of a pea to ensure flaky biscuits.
  3. to that same bowl, add cheese, soy milk, sausages, garlic powder, and jalapeno. Mix with a wooden spoon to combine, making sure not to over mix.
  4. Using an ice cream scoop, drop dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until the top of the biscuits turn golden brown.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare your butter glaze. In a small bowl, stir together ¼ cup melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
  7. When the biscuits are baked through, brush each biscuit with the butter glaze.
  8. Serve warm.
  9. Can be served on their own, with butter, or alongside your favourite breakfast spread of tofu scramble, vegan bacon, or fried vegan eggs.

  • Why Bisquick over simple flour? Can I sub for this? What are the ingredients in Bisquick?
    Thanks!

  • Your recipe is brillant !!!! I wish I had your ingredients on hands , I went to whole food they didn’t have that many cooked sausages choices so I bought Gardein breakfast sausage patties they didn’t have Suisse cheese so I used the cheddar , I added 2 scallions and this recipe for the buiscuit on this website https://www.noracooks.com/vegan-buttermilk-biscuits/ I didn’t add the salt and the sugar just because the cheese and sausage are already salty . I wish I had more flavorful sausages because the flavor would have come through even more . It’s very good the gardein sausage I precooked and crumbled just 2 minutes on the stove in a pan they were too mushy raw . I can imagine the taste of them with really flavorful ingredients . Thanks for this great recipe I also used 1 cup of whole wheat flour instead of all white purpose flour .

  • So simple. Easy and delicious! I made them with field roast applewood smoked vegan sausage and they are to die for!

I’m wondering how I could use regular flour in this recipe? How much would I use? Thanks

  • Amanda says:

These are absolutely amazing. I’ve made them several times using various mock meats and they never fail. So easy to get in the oven and always delicious.
