Cranberry Mimosa Recipe

Feeling like cranberry mimosa with no additives and vegan-friendly? This Christmas mimosa recipe is the perfect drink for the holidays or any celebration!Cranberry Mimosa

This cranberry cocktail recipe is so quick, you can make 5 cocktails within 5-7 mins. All you need is sugar, water, prosecco or champagne, fresh or frozen cranberries, and fresh rosemary for that gives you that pop of green and red! You can fill your mimosa with as much bubbly as you wish!

I garnished my cranberry mimosa with sprigs of rosemary and two whole cranberries, but it’s optional. You can decorate your cocktail however you want!

Cranberry Mimosa

VEGAN | NUT-FREE | GLUTEN-FREE

To make the cranberry mimosa, you must make the homemade rosemary cranberry simple syrup, which takes about 5 mins. This is something you can do before your party or before guests come over. The longer you allow your simple syrup to steep, the stronger your simple syrup will taste.

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, water, cranberries, and rosemary. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.  Then, remove from the heat, cover and refrigerate for as long as you can. The longer you allow the ingredients to steep, the stronger the simple syrup will taste. If you are making a cranberry mimosa for guests the same day, steep for a few hours if possible. Right when your guests arrive, strain the simple syrup and assemble your cocktail.

Within 2 minutes, add 1.5 oz of your cranberry syrup to each champagne flute or cocktail glass. Place 2 cranberries into the glass and fill each glass with champagne or champagne of choice. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary if you wish.

TIPS FOR MAKING CRANBERRY MIMOSA

  • You can use the cranberry simple syrup with other liquor if you don’t like or don’t have prosecco or champagne. Use the simple syrup recipe as the base and make a cranberry mimosa with triple sec, a cranberry mimosa with vanilla vodka or whatever alcohol you might have that makes sense to add! Options are endless. Just taste test before you go ahead and make 5!
  • You can make a cranberry mimosa pitcher if you’re having many guests over and need a pitcher for guests to pour a tasty festive drink!
  • When making this recipe, I used prosecco but you can use champagne, cava, or even sparkling wine. Just make sure to check if it’s vegan

WHAT KIND OF CHAMPAGNE IS BEST FOR MIMOSAS?

Any true champagne is the best for mimosas; a Brut worked well with my cranberry mimosa. You can also make a mimosa from cava or dry prosecco.

VEGAN CHAMPAGNE OPTIONS:

  • Veuve Clicquot Champagne
  • Perrier-Jouet Champagne
  • Larmandier-Bernier Crament Nature
  • Paul-Etienne Saint Germain Champagne
  • Moet and Chandon Brut Imperial

VEGAN PROSECCO OPTIONS:

  • Bottega Prosecco
  • San Leo Prosecco
  • Princess P. Vegan and Organic Prosecco
  • Giol Prosecco Frizzante
