Although delicious and festive, eggnog is just an alcoholic protein shake . . . not that I think there is anything wrong with that. In fact I find the combination of creamy cashews, cinnamon, nutmeg and rum to be egg-cellent. Serve it chilled or warmed, spiked or virgin, this eggnog will get you egg-cited for the holidays!
- In a blender, combine almond milk, cashew butter, maple syrup, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a pinch of clove and black salt; blend on High until combined.
- Taste the milk mixture and adjust cinnamon, salt and clove to your preference.
- Add rum and blend on High until combined and slightly foamy. Add more rum if you want to make your eggnog a little more boozy.
- Serve cold or warm garnished with a cinnamon stick.
