How To Make Vegan Chicken Big Mac
This vegan chicken big mac is super easy to make & will have simple instructions on how to build your burger using the McDonald’s stacking order:
- Bottom bun
- Big Mac sauce
- Onions
- Lettuce
- American-style cheese slice
- Chicken patty
- Middle bun
- Big Mac sauce
- Onions
- Lettuce
- Pickle slices
- Chicken patty
- Top of the bun
All you need is buns, lettuce, onion, vegan cheese, and pickle slices for your vegan big mac as well choose your fave vegan chicken patty or make homemade ones using my vegan fried chicken recipe and well as make my 2-mins Big mac sauce here.

INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN BIG MAC (VEGAN):
- Hamburger Buns (sesame seed ones are preferred)
- Vegan Chicken patties of choice
- Vegan Big Mac Sauce
- Onion
- Iceberg lettuce
- American-style Cheddar Cheese (Plant-based)
- Dill Pickle
KITCHEN EQUIPMENT:
- Measuring Utensils
- Knife and Cutting Board
- Oven or Air Fryer
Tips:
- Prepare your plant-based chicken burgers according to the recipe or package instructions.
- Make the middle bun of your big mac by carefully cutting the top off the extra half-bun. (it should be about 3/4-inch-thick)
- Using a hot dry pan, place the buns cut-side down and toast.
- 2 hamburger buns, sesame seed preferred (use bottom of 2nd bun for middle part)
- 2 Plant-based chicken patties of choice, homemade or store-bought
- 4 tsp vegan Big Mac Sauce
- 1 tsp onion, finely diced
- ½ cup iceberg lettuce, thinly chopped
- 1 slice American-style cheddar cheese (Plant-based)
- 3 dill pickle medallions (round slices)
- To make your vegan chicken big mac, cook your plant-based chicken burgers according to the recipe or package instructions.
- Next, make your 2-mins vegan big mac sauce and keep in the fridge until you assemble your chicken big mac.
- Meanwhile, make the middle bun slice of your big mac by carefully cutting the top off the extra half-bun. You want a thinner bun slice, about ¾-inch-thick.
- Next, I recommend using a hot dry pan and placing the 3 hamburger buns cut-side down and toast.
- When your vegan chicken patties are done, build your burger using the iconic McDobalds stacking order, which is bottom bun, then 2 tsp Big Mac sauce, half of the onions, half of the lettuce, 1 slice plant-based American-style cheese, 1 plant-based chicken patty, the middle bun, 2 tsp Big Mac sauce, rest of the onions, rest of the lettuce, 3 pickle slices, 1 plant-based chicken patty and then top of the bun.

Makes a perfect “Big Machicken”. It also takes well to substitutes. I substituted Buffalo Vegan Chicken patties in place of the regular. And I’ve used Vegan Smoked Gouda cheese in place of American. Both work wonderful as subs either alone as the only change or together.
