Okay, I usually make skillet gravy from scratch in a cast iron, whipping up a roux, then adding oat milk, etc. It’s painstaking and laborious, and I just didn’t have time this year, and the skillet was needed for other things. I tried out this recipe just because of how easy and straightforward it was, and HOLY CRAP, I have been living a lie. I will never work myself to death over a roux gravy ever again; this was absolutely amazing. The flavor profile is out of this world. The gravy was easily the star of the Christmas table.
