Okay, I usually make skillet gravy from scratch in a cast iron, whipping up a roux, then adding oat milk, etc. It’s painstaking and laborious, and I just didn’t have time this year, and the skillet was needed for other things. I tried out this recipe just because of how easy and straightforward it was, and HOLY CRAP, I have been living a lie. I will never work myself to death over a roux gravy ever again; this was absolutely amazing. The flavor profile is out of this world. The gravy was easily the star of the Christmas table.

  • Made this on Thanksgiving and my kids who are always giving me crap about “vegan” loved the gravy. Totally impressed. Couldn’t tell it was vegan. HUGE success.

  • My boyfriend and I make this all the time! Why would I make any other gravy?

I could (read: will) drink this it looks so good.

  • After huge success with your carrot cake I came back to try this gravy for some pot pies that I made with leftovers. I really wasn’t expecting to be so impressed, I was just looking for a decent quick gravy to help out the pies and this gravy is delicious!!! Super fast, tons of flavor and ingredients that were all on hand. This will be my go to gravy and I will try making the country version. Thanks!

  • I’ve made this twice already. It’s so easy! Same effort as the powdered gravy you can get

  • So easy to make and delicious! Didn’t even need to buy ingredients since this uses staples most vegans have on hand.
I put it on everything – roast, stuffing, potatoes, biscuits, it really was great. Will make again

  • I “”always”” made a hole in the middle & poured the gravy in it !!!

  • I had all the ingredients except mustard powder and was still delicious!
