My chocolate almond milk contains no added sugar; only natural sugars from dates! Of course, you can go out and buy almond milk at the store, but it’s actually faster to make chocolate almond milk at home then walking to your store!

I’m going to teach you how to make almond milk at home in 10 minutes! As well as how to make 3 flavored almond milk including chocolate almond milk, vanilla almond milk, and cinnamon almond milk.

Before you make any flavored almond milk, I recommend soaking your almonds overnight, as it helps to give the almond milk a creamy silky texture.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALMOND MILK

  1. To a blender add all desired ingredients and blend on high until smooth and creamy. This takes at least 30 seconds.
  2. Strain the milk into a jug or jar using a fine-mesh sieve, nut milk bag or a thin dishtowel in a pinch.

TIPS FOR MAKING HOMEMADE ALMOND MILK

  • You can make any flavored almond milk you want! Just use the unsweetened almond milk as a base and add any flavor you’d like to it.
  • You can refrigerate your fresh chocolate almond milk for up to 4 days.
  • Save the pulp leftovers for baked goods, homemade granola bars and more!

How To Make Organic Almond Milk

Take raw organic almonds that are soaked overnight, and add to a blender with water and pinch of salt. If you want organic vanilla almond milk, add organic vanilla extract and 2 organic pitted dates to the blender. If you want organic chocolate almond milk, add organic cocoa, organic vanilla extract, and 4 organic pitted dates to the blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Strain the liquid into a jug using a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag or a thin dishtowel in a pinch. That’s how you make organic almond milk.

How Long Does Homemade Almond Milk Last

Homemade almond milk lasts a few days in the fridge. Because there are no preservatives in homemade almond milk, you should aim to only make enough almond milk to last up to 3 to 5 days. Blending and straining your almond milk only takes 10 mins, so make frequent small batches to enjoy fresh homemade almond milk!

Almond milk is one of the first swaps most people make when switching to a vegan or dairy-free lifestyle. Whether you’ve been vegan for years, or you’re just looking to make a few healthy plant-based changes to your diet, homemade almond milk is a staple! I especially love drinking chocolate almond milk!
