Vegan Butter Cream Frosting

This is a great go-to vegan buttercream recipe. Use this as a base for any other icing flavours that you love. Pipe it, spread it, or eat it with your fingers right out of the bowl-- it's your kitchen do what you want!

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup vegan margarine
  • ¼ cup vegetable shortening (make sure it's vegan)
  • 1¾ cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp- 4 Tbsp almond milk, or your favourite milk of choice, as needed
Instructions
  1. Beat the shortening and margarine together until well combined. It should be fluffy.
  2. Add the sugar and beat until whipped and light, about 3 mins.
  3. Add the vanilla and milk 2 tbsp at a time for about 7 minutes until it becomes fluffy and light.
Notes
For creamier frosting use soy creamer instead of plain non-dairy milk
