Vegan Bailey's Buttercream Frosting

This vegan Baileys Buttercream frosting is creamy, silky and incredibly light. The liqueur adds a pleasing caramel note and melts on the tongue, making it the perfect frosting for adult-friendly vegan cakes and cupcakes. Try it with our Guinness Chocolate cupcakes!

Serves: for 12 cupcakes
  1. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat butter until light and fluffy.
  2. On low, add sugar ½ cup at a time, beating between additions to avoid sugar from dusting all over the counter.
  3. Beat in vegan Irish cream and beat until mixture is smooth and spreadable. If it's too thick, add 1-2 tbsp Baileys to thin out. If too thin add more sugar 1-2 tbsp at a time.
Use natural food colourings to jazz up this recipe for any holiday or occasion! Just add these natural ingredients ¼ tsp at a time until desired colour is reached.

Green: liquid chlorophyl or spirulin powder
Pink: beet juice
Yellow: turmeric powder
Purple: blueberry juice
