Juice Cleanse Detox Day 4

Day 4, I can’t believe how fast that snuck up on me! I had such a good, deep and dreamy sleep.

Today I start my Deep Green Cleanse. Instead of the delicious combination of green, carrot, citrus and cashew mylks; I will be consuming only green juices, a coconut water, and citrus juices. As if doing a Juice Cleanse wasn’t extreme enough. But leafy, green vegetables contain many major nutrients, trace nutrients, a whack load of chlorophyll, enzymes, and antioxidants, making it a key part of any cleanse.

Because I am generally a very healthy person, I decided that I may have to go deeper than the average meat eating person. Hence, this all green Cleanse. Maybe I will see some detox symptoms this time around! I am used to the green juices now, so they go down like water. Maybe it is because I have been juicing for 3 days already, that I am just used to it.

Doing this is easy when I’m working, because I never eat at work anyway. In fact, I barely remember to drink my juices and find myself trying to catch up at 2pm. They are delicious. I don’t know what it is about my taste buds, but everything tastes amazing. Everything is sweeter, or something… I don’t quite know what it is. I don’t have a huge influx of energy, it is pretty even and stable, but my mind is very clear and very alert. The world seems brighter, or maybe that is just me. I noticed that I burnt a lot more easily when I was out in the sun, weird, I think I will have to Google that one.

Tonight I decided to try oil pulling as my detox booster. All you have to do is take one tablespoon of a quality vegetable oil like coconut or sesame into your mouth. Do NOT swallow it. Move oil slowly around in your mouth, swishing it gently. The best way to describe this is to suck it through your teeth and sip it back. Do this for 15-20 minutes. It is really easy to do while you are watching TV or on your computer. Just be sure NOT to swallow it. Eventually the oil will turn bright white, after 20 minutes spit it into a sink or toilet and rinse your mouth VERY WELL. There are many harmful toxins in the oil now and you do not want to swallow them.

Doing this activates the enzymes to draw toxins out of the blood. It also intensifies the metabolism, and is fantastic for overall tooth health. The best time to oil pull is before breakfast, on an empty stomach, and can be repeated up to three times a day. It looks super weird, but it totally works!
