Okay Okay, stop giving me that face. No seriously, pizza CAN be delicious without cheese. It’s all in the sauce and toppings. Sure we can use fake cheeses, but sometimes we just don’t have that laying around the house. This light, easy to make vegan pizza is a fantastic way to spice up those veggies.
- Vegan Pizza Dough
- 1 ounce fresh basil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- plum tomatoes, sliced
- mushrooms, sliced
- artichoke hearts
- medium onion, cut in half and sliced
- Nutritional Yeast
- Place olive oil, basil, garlic, tomato paste, pine nuts, and lemon juice in blender and process until smooth.
- Spread tomato basil mixture onto partially baked pizza crust. Some like a lot of sauce, some like minimal sauce, you decide on the amount.
- Add tomatoes and other vegetables ( any you choose) and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
- Once your pizza is cooked sprinkle with nutritional yeast.
