Badass Black Bean Paste

Olive Oil

1 Onion

2 Cloves Garlic, minced

1 tsp Ground Cumin

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

2tbsp ground Flax Seed

Sea Salt, to taste

2 Cups cooked Black Beans, or 1 can

 

  • Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft and translucent.
  • In a food processor, blend black beans and flax seed until smooth. Set aside.
  • Add remaining ingredients (except beans) and simmer for 3-5 minutes until aromatic.
  • Add beans and mix until combined and heated through.
